  • 15g active yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ cup lukewarm water
  • 2 cups (250g) plain white flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tbs Marmite™, warmed
  • ½ cup edam cheese, grated
Add your choice of toppings such as sliced onions, sliced mushrooms, goat’s cheese, feta cheese, marinated artichokes, sliced courgette, red capsicum, herbs, mozzarella or blue cheese.

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C. Grease a large baking tray or pizza dish with a little spray oil.
  2. Mix yeast with sugar in a small bowl, then add ½ cup lukewarm water and let mixture stand for 10 minutes, or until bubbles appear on surface.
  3. Sift flour and salt into large bowl, make a well in the centre and add yeast and oil. Mix by hand to a firm dough. Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 10 minutes, or until dough is smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover and let stand in a warm place for 30 minutes or until dough has doubled in size. Knock down and knead it into a smooth ball on a floured surface. Flatten dough into a circle about 2.5cm thick, then roll out from the centre to fit a 25cm pizza pan.
  5. Spread top of the pizza with Marmite™, using a warm knife or pastry brush. Arrange the toppings of your choice.
  6. Bake in oven for 25 minutes. Slide onto a chopping board, garnish with fresh rocket leaves to serve.
